Recently, it was learned from CNOOC Tianjin Branch that as the Kenli 10-2 Oilfield Phase I/Kenli 10-1 Oilfield A54 well block development project started construction simultaneously at three construction sites in Tianjin and Qingdao on the 10th, 100 million tons The Kenli 10-2 oilfield, a large oilfield in China, has officially entered the development and construction stage.
The Kenli 10-2 oil field is located in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea, about 245 kilometers away from Tianjin City, with an average water depth of about 15.7 meters. It is a large-scale oilfield discovered by CNOOC in the shallow layers of the Laizhou Bay Depression in 2021. Lithologic oil and gas reservoirs, with proven geological reserves of crude oil exceeding 100 million tons.
The project includes the construction of a central platform and 2 unmanned wellhead platforms in the Kenli 10-2 oil field, as well as the laying of 7 new submarine pipelines and 4 submarine cables. It is a key project to achieve the goal of building a production capacity of 40 million tons of oil fields and 3 million tons of heavy oil.
The CEPC platform module of this project is the largest module in the Bohai Oilfield so far. The module floatation weight is nearly 20,000 tons, which is close to the load limit of the floatation vessel.
